Sorry about that neighbour it really sucks when things go missing
Makes me so irritated as they were limited items.
Hi Neighbor! Your Clausco building is out in your town, near your Christmas spaceship. So either you found it in your inventory since your post, or you couldn’t see the forest for the trees! (Which happens to me far more often than I’ll admit!)
Hey everyone. Newbie over here. Ended up finding this site after Googling some different design ideas.
Well welcome to the forum! It’s not quite as lively a place as it used to be, but it has a much more intimate and personal feel than ea’s forum. Just jump into any conversation with questions or ideas. And complaints! We all love to complain!
Hello, should I spend some donuts in order to beat Monty or will it still be possible after the event ? Is there something valuable given when defeating him ?
All you get for defeating Montymort is Montymort as a playable character, so it just depends on how important that is to you. For me, I just think he's okay but not a must-have. I definitely plan on storing the Magic Academy Ruins when the event is over, and I suspect that might store Montymort at the same time. I can live with that!
It seemed to take forever to defeat him, and then it was suddenly over (for me) on Saturday. I thought it might have been a patch, it was so random. I'd guess that once you download the update you won't have the chance to get him, but who knows? And you can usually put off downloading the update for a day or two.
/checks to see //sees we have two weeks left in the event ///existential dread takes over
I don't let too much bug me about these events, altho there are many aspects that could -- but these extension beyond the holiday itself really annoys! A holiday event should be over when the holiday is over! Start it earlier if you must drag it out to 6 weeks, but then be done with it! They do the same thing with Christmas.
Does anyone of you still have texture glitches? I’m just curious because nobody is posting in here any longer
This is today’s glitch in my town
I get them all the time and they crack me up! Usually, if I scroll away from the glitch and then go back to the same place, it’s still glitched but with a different piece of animation. Do it again and it’s changed again. Again and again, etc.
I just deleted a slew glich screenshots the other day to free up some memory. But I’m one of those idiots who continues to struggle with posting pictures! Posting-challenged, if you will!
So I maxed out on Carl (or is it Lenny this round? It's all a blur)... so what do I do now until Act 3? Just wait for the next monster thing in a couple days? 'Cause other than visiting friends, there aren't a lot of ways to earn currency. Release the monsters, tap the thingies, wait?
Yup. Keep releasing those monsters!
But here's an extra tip. For your daily challenge each day, which seems to consistently offer 200 event currency -- cancel it and take the back up challenge. It will either be another event challenge paying 200 OR is will be an event challenge paying 600 event currency! That helps move things along!
UPDATE! Uh oh! I’m reading elsewhere that they might have “fixed” this and you don’t necessarily get another chance at event currency! So sorry!

I'm quite stuck on Homer dancing in the beer rain. It has the added advantage that if you find you NEED Homer unexpectedly, you just store the crashed beer truck to free him.
And of course, Zombie Sandwich.
But mostly, I just autopilot everyone to 12 hour tasks. I often stumble upon some great animation in a neighbor's town that I have no recollection of. Usually, I can't even figure out what task would describe it!
For me it's all these events with magic stuff or monsters and whatever.
I want to make a good looking Springfield city. But it's now got Old West, Medieval, Egypt, Europe, Future and whatever else taking up way more space than normal city.
I'm with you on this. I'm very slowly working on taking down the nonsense parts of the town, and sticking with the Classic town look.
I'm on this track as well. I got rid of the Old West a while ago. While I liked the event okay and thought the area was "cute", it just never felt right in my town. And I stowed most of the future Springfield stuff as well.
I'm taking a new tack and trying NOT to buy any new land. There are 2 or 3 rows on the south side that I have not purchased. I'm trying to edit my town as we go -- things I like less or have grown tired of go into inventory, making room for the newest (perhaps temporary) toys!

Something else I really miss in the game are glitches! It feels like forever since we’ve had a good glitch! (At least one I’ve been privy to.) Nothing gets the core more amped up than earning quantum amounts of event currency (and/or bonuts) at breakneck speed until the glitch was fixed! It was usually the funnest part of the event. I even wondered if ea had built them in like an Easter egg, especially in those cases when it took them several days to patch. Awwwww, probably giving them too much credit!
Reducing awards for visiting neighbors. – What the hell was EA thinking with this move? I originally got 100 neighbors because it helped to have so many during events. But, after EA began to REDUCE awards for visiting them I didn't feel any motivation to check on anyone.
Wasn't TSTO supposed to be a social game? EA should have done the opposite and increased rewards are you went down your list of neighbors. By making the last 60 or so neighbor visits pointless, they killed the social aspect of the game.
This point you are making is exactly the same thinking I had done. Why on earth they reduce awards??? I ask this question to myself 100 times... I miss the events in where you had to visit neighbors so that you could make sure you don’t miss any of the content. That was fun. EA killed the fun because EA doesn’t understand fun. Apparently
I agree that this sucks. Helping neighbors has (had) always been an extremely satisfying component of the game. I'll speculate that their servers can't handle big spikes in the volume of activity, and that EA's goal is actually to reduce the amount of time we spend visiting -- probably even to reduce the amount of time we "need" to spend in game at all! They want to keep us involved (thus the introduction of mini-events), but not at the frenzied levels of the early big events.
I agree with so much of what's been said here. Yet I'm still in the game multiple times a day, playing every event, checking the forums daily, etc. The game isn't living up to its potential, but it's still a nice place to visit!
Glad to see the take down, also I'm glad the stages can still be used by the singers, but now there was a new character group called "County Fair 2017" with Little Miss Springfield Lisa, Amber and Mary. When do you think that will be up?

You're sending Cecil on his tasks that earn currency towards Road to Riches, right? (not just any task) Those tasks are listed first on his tasklist.
Then you have to send him often enough to earn how much the dam costs. The upper corner icon for daily challenges has a tab for road to riches, so it should let you know how much it costs, but I don't think it reports how much you've earned towards it so far. I can't remember.
I just finished the third prize last week (rock and a hard place). It's kinda fun. Good luck!
Is the bling cup worth crafting or should I save my tickets for more lights and speakers?
It just sits there and gleams a little bit. Very meh IMO. Though this is the point of the event where you start to accumulate tons of crafting currency and start to wonder what to do with it all anyway
I put mine in storage already ... BUT it's one of those items that seems like somewhere, sometime it will fit in perfectly with some area I'll be trying to pull together. There's 3 more weeks of this event ahead of us -- lots of currency to craft lots of stuff. I plan to craft a handful and tuck them into inventory (where I probably will never be able to locate them again!).
Is anyone else weirded out that marge has no teeth ??
I assume you're talking about the splash screen??!!! I'm not weirded out in the least. It's classic beatnik art ... a little picasso-ish. I think it's a great screen. I wish they'd create a billboard for Springfield with it!
Thanks for the demo! I should let this convince me but .... ... I'm still suspicious.
I got a new ipad a couple months back, putting my 4 year old ipad mini into semi-retirement. It's been a god send in terms of processor speed. But I'd hoped it would let me see more of my town on its larger screen, but nooooooo. And truly, during this event, it seems to almost zoom in a bit on it's own and I can't zoom it back out.
Hey, wouldn't it be fun if they did a solar eclipse today?!

Has anybody noticed any difference in how much (by which I mean how little) of your town is visible in a screen shot? I feel like there's been a change this week. Am I imaging this? Or is it town specific based on how many items you've got?
If it gets much worse, I feel like just one of these ginormous buildings they give us will take up the whole screen!
